1. About Kotogoo

Kotogoo is a Japanese language learning platform developed and operated by Nguyen Quang Trung (individual developer). It provides AI-powered conversation practice, interactive stories, speech recognition, and text-to-speech features. Our service is available via web app, Android app, and iOS app.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old to use Kotogoo
• If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent
• You must provide accurate information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account

3. Accounts

To access most features, you need to create an account. You are responsible for:

• Keeping your password secure and confidential
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use at support@kotogoo.com

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Kotogoo only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

• Use the service to harass, harm, or deceive others
• Attempt to bypass usage limits or access restrictions
• Reverse-engineer or copy our software or content
• Use automated bots or scripts to interact with the service
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use the service for any illegal activities

5. Usage Limits

Kotogoo uses a token-based system to manage AI usage:

Usage limits may change. We will notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notification.

5b. Premium Subscription

• Billing: Subscriptions are billed monthly through Google Play or Apple App Store on your purchase date
• Auto-renewal: Your subscription automatically renews each month unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
• Cancellation: You may cancel anytime via your Google Play or Apple App Store subscription settings. Access continues until the end of the current billing period
• Refunds: Refunds are handled by Google Play or Apple App Store under their respective refund policies. We do not issue refunds directly. Contact support@kotogoo.com if you need assistance
• Price changes: We will notify you at least 30 days in advance of any price changes

6. Intellectual Property

All content on Kotogoo — including stories, AI responses, UI design, and branding — is owned by Kotogoo or our licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute our content without written permission.

Content you create (e.g., messages you send to the AI) remains yours. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to process your content to provide the service.

7. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from within the app (Profile → Delete Account). Upon deletion:

• Your profile, progress, and chat history will be permanently deleted
• This action cannot be undone
• Deletion is processed immediately

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Kotogoo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI responses will be perfectly accurate. Language learning results vary by individual effort.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kotogoo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice. Continued use of Kotogoo after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or the use of Kotogoo shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

13. Privacy

Your use of Kotogoo is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
